The Satanic Bible

The Satanic Bible is the official (un)holy book of LaVeyan Satanism (which is free online in PDF format). Of those of you unfamiliar with this form of satanism, let me inform you that it isn't exactly what most people have in mind. LaVeyan Satanist's don't believe in god or the devil. They are not really "satan worshippers" but fans of lucifer, kind of in the same way that Christian Atheist follow the philosophy of Jesus, yet don't believe he was the son of god. To understand the philosophy of Satanism, you must take every dogma in the Christian realm and imagine it's exact opposite. It's core principles are as follow

1. Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence
2. Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams
3. Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit
4. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it, instead of love wasted on ingrates
5. Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek
6. Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires
7. Satan represents man as just another animal (sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all fours), who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all.
8. Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification
9. Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years

Oh, and they practice black magic (which they use as means for power and revenge), making these individuals very "superstitious skeptics" (if there was ever a contradiction in terms). These people pretty much follow a philosophy of blasphemy and are the image the average fundamentalist gets when you bring up atheism. While some minor parts of their philosophy like lack of repression from dogma and being skeptical in religous matters can be slightly possitive, the dogma as a whole sounds like it was written by a rebellious chld who thinks that if one path in life didn't work, doing a full 180 will make things perfect. Really, all this "religion" does is make you act like an asshole while creating a really degrading stereotype for the rest of us non-believers. It furthers the belief that you need religion for an ethical and moral lifestyle, and without it, you'll end up like.......this. Rating- The Satanic Bible- 1.666/10 Blasphemously Annoying.
